A signed sale record documents the agreed identities, VIN, price, payment, handover and any actual conditions. It does not prove ownership, clear a registered security interest or automatically protect against every later dispute or fine. Check seller authority and the physical car separately, retain your payment record and complete the registration-transfer process.
