Damp smells, moisture, unusual corrosion or inconsistent records are reasons to ask about water exposure and seek an independent inspection. They do not establish flood damage alone. Request relevant repair records and compare the physical car with the advert. A clean-looking history search, photos and a checklist cannot rule out or diagnose concealed damage.
